Spain is the world's third largest wine producer and has a great number of wine-making regions offering excellent value wines little known to the outside world.

We at Bodega-Bodega Selections travel extensively across Spain, visiting many bodegas and sampling an incredible variety of wines, in our constant search for exciting new varietals and good values. As a result, we are working with an increasing number of bodegas in different wine regions (Denominaciones de Origen) to expand our selection of value wines and ensure consistent quality. Although our main focus is on Spanish wines, we are expanding into other countries. We currently work with one winery from the Languedoc/Roussillon wine region in Southwest France, and are planning to add Portuguese and Argentine wines to our portfolio.

As importers, we work with a dedicated sales network of distributors, wine specialty stores and fine restaurants across the nation. The “Find our Wines” section of the website will help you to locate our products.

Bodega-Bodega Selections was founded by Murk Lels, President and Co-owner. He fell in love with Spain in the 1960s, when working in the country as a geologist. His long time interest in wines and extensive knowledge of the Iberian Peninsula inspired him in 2001 to start his business as an agent/export manager for half a dozen Spanish bodegas. In the US, he learned the three tiers of the wine industry by successively working in importing, distribution, and retailing. The next step was creation of Bodega-Bodega Selections, which began selling its own brands in 2006.

Ann Fritcher, National Sales Manager, came to Bodega-Bodega Selections with experience in all aspects of the restaurant, hotel and wine industry. As a restaurant manager, she received the Wine Spectator’s “Award of Excellence” for her innovative wine list. Her growing appreciation of wine led her to start a career in the industry on the West Coast, first in on-premise sales and then as sales division manager. An opportunity to work directly for wineries at a multi-state level brought Ann to the East Coast and Bodega-Bodega Selections.
